Our Vision

The community we are working to build together

Our Vision

Where We Are Going

"To see every person in the New Germany area and surrounding communities experience dignity, hope, and belonging — a community where no one is left behind."

This vision is not a distant ideal. It is a living, working conviction that shapes every decision we make, every program we run, and every relationship we build. We are creating this community now, one act of service at a time.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
Pillars of Our Vision

Four Foundations of a Flourishing Community

Our vision rests on four interconnected pillars — each essential, each reinforcing the others.

Food Security

We envision a community where every family has reliable access to nutritious food. Food insecurity is not inevitable — it is a solvable problem, and Wellspring is committed to being part of that solution in Lunenburg County.

Family Stability

Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. Our vision includes robust support networks that help families navigate hardship, access resources, and build lasting stability — not just survive the moment.

Spiritual Wholeness

We believe people thrive when they have a sense of meaning, purpose, and connection to something greater than themselves. Our pastoral and spiritual care programs tend to the inner life — the foundation on which all other wellbeing rests.

Community Belonging

Isolation is one of the most profound forms of poverty. Our vision sees a community woven together — where relationships cross generations, where neighbours know one another, and where no one faces life's difficulties alone.

The Picture

What a Thriving New Germany Looks Like

We hold a vivid picture in mind as we do this work — a New Germany where children grow up with full plates, strong mentors, and confidence in their future.

In this picture, seniors are honoured and included. Families that once faced crisis have found their footing. Young people have pathways and possibilities. The community hall is full. Neighbours know each other's names.

It is a community where faith communities, service organizations, local government, and ordinary people work together — each contributing their piece to a larger picture of shared flourishing.

This is not fantasy. The seeds of this community already exist in the people of Lunenburg County. Wellspring tends those seeds with care, consistency, and hope.
