About Wellspring

Neighbours Caring
for Neighbours

Wellspring Christian Community Outreach is a registered Canadian nonprofit organization serving the people of New Germany and the wider Lunenburg County region of Nova Scotia.

We are a community-based organization rooted in Christian values and motivated by a simple, powerful conviction: every person deserves to be seen, cared for, and supported — regardless of their circumstances. From our base at 19 Fire Hall Road in New Germany, we coordinate a range of programs that address real, everyday needs.

We are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable organization (Registry ID: 839986080RR0001) and operate with full transparency and accountability to the community we serve.

Our Story

Born from Compassion,
Built by Community

Wellspring began with a group of people who saw need in their community and felt compelled to respond. Not with a business plan or a fundraising campaign — but with open hands and a willingness to serve.

In the tight-knit communities of rural Lunenburg County, need and resilience exist side by side. Families facing hardship often do so quietly, reluctant to ask for help in places where everyone knows everyone. The founders of Wellspring understood this — and built an organization that reaches out rather than waits, that serves with dignity, and that builds lasting relationships rather than one-time transactions.

Over the years, Wellspring has grown from informal neighbour-to-neighbour care into a structured, accountable, and increasingly impactful organization. But our character has never changed: we remain a community organization in the truest sense — local, personal, and deeply committed to the people of this place.
